Al AhsaAI-based Sperm Selection
Book an AppointmentSmarter sperm selection for ICSI
Bnoon has introduced AI-assisted sperm selection within ICSI, and recently announced the first baby born in Saudi Arabia following IVF using this technology.
What it is
AI sperm selection uses advanced imaging and software analysis to help embryologists identify sperm cells that meet specific quality parameters. The goal is to support more informed selection during ICSI, where a single sperm is injected into an egg.
Why it matters
In many fertility cases, the difference is in the details. AI-assisted selection adds an extra layer of assessment that can be especially relevant when sperm quality is a concern or when couples have experienced repeated fertilization challenges.
Who it may be suitable for
- High DNA fragmentation in sperms
- Severe male factor infertility (low count or azoospermia)
- Poor sperm motility
- Abnormal sperm morphology
- Surgically retrieved sperm
How it fits into treatment
AI sperm selection is an additional tool used within the lab to support selection during ICSI, alongside your overall personalized protocol.
Important note: Suitability depends on individual medical factors. Your care team will advise whether this approach aligns with your treatment plan.
